Storyline:
Thodarum follows Shanmugham, affectionately known as “Benz,” a humble taxi driver in the serene hill town of Ranni. Once a renowned stunt performer in Malayalam and Tamil cinema, he left the film industry after a tragic on-set accident claimed the life of his dearest friend, Anbu. Now, Benz leads a peaceful life with his wife Lalitha and their two children, cherishing his prized possession—a black Ambassador Mark 1 car. His world shatters when his son and his friends take the car for a joyride and crash it. Unbeknownst to Benz, the car is later used by a mechanic’s assistant to smuggle drugs, leading to its seizure by the police. Despite the flimsy evidence, SI Benny, a power-hungry officer, refuses to release it. Benz’s quest to reclaim his beloved car unfolds into a gripping tale of justice and resilience.
